I'm Tired
by Tricia Pattinson
I'm as tired as long worn shoes
That have danced, run, climbed and stood
But it is the loved ones stepping harsh
That wears the sole more than time
I'm as tired as history upon memory
The fuller the life, more fragile the seamstry
And still I stand and creep along
Not waiting to kick the dirt
But to step up and do my part
To carry my light into the night

Dead in the span of two months

38 Weeks To Go
by Tricia Pattinson
Wails louder than a siren compel
Stop and let those fighting death move by
Wails flow from those who can
Able bodies, filling their lungs
Gasping for air to stay alive
Not enough breath to yell and fight #COVID19
The heart struggles
With gigantic boulders pushing down
Grief weighs you down but less so
As best you can you live
Is it me, tired eyes see the winds bring death
Is the world shriveling in suffering with us
It is in the midst of this plague
I want to beat back death for every stranger
Too busy helping others reach beyond this
Too busy surviving to give trump a drop of energy
40 Weeks To Go
by Tricia Pattinson
The tests are in!
The grade earned
F for massively embarrassing fail
Trump exposed
Denies the woes
Stunning death tolls rise
Georgia rushes to re-open
Hiding the statistics from the public
Pretend all is well, why don't we?
Expense of life
In Georgia is cheaper
Than the weather
If you want to live
Stay at home please
Stop the spread of #COVID19

Damaging senses; it took his reason

Pretends sarcasm was but a tool in use
Now he wants to force meat packers
To give their lives for dinner roasts
Sends the Blue Angels
And Thunderbirds
To salute those who daily strive
In hospitals where the weakest die
While they fight back tears
While struggling with PTSD
Wouldn't it be better

Remembering Family
by Tricia Pattinson
I could listen to the ocean's waves
For eternity and never fray
I would sing as siren once
And throw the catch back to land
On the beaches of the world
The cult of Sun finds paradise
All people are Earth's flower rare
Our roots the dolphins share
Beneath the clouds or not
Or wind pulsing about
I wish, I wish my last rest
Takes me to humanity's home and roots
And yet, the dolphins come to shore
And take their last breath close to us
Perhaps family remembers ties
When the business of surviving arrives
41 Weeks To go
By Tricia Pattinson
Fragile is the floor
Falsely it appears strong
It breaks into shards
Killing damaged hearts
Were they tossed upon it?
With disingenuous invitations to dance
Told it was great
Encouraged to bravely walk
Our mourning will be lengthy
Our tears flooding into the world
But the rage of grief will come
Then the righting of his wrongs
42 Weeks To Go

On this beautiful marble
Lives microbial, parasites and macro types
Always seeking more
Testing what it means to love
As above so below
Macro to micro flows as well
Awareness is never too small
Revelations in dreams to mind
And when we hate someone or something
It is always based in fear or pain
An exercise of conscience choices
A temporary state, ending with our life's departure
If I could teach myself how to forgive
I'd like to do it without experiencing it
Alas the traumas of life would be missed
Depth of impressions on my soul skipped
I hate with passion the harms done
Inflicted upon the most innoce

COVID19 Breach Birth Is Killing Us
by Tricia Pattinson
Life marches with waterways
Death waiting for the misstep paved
We build armor vehicles to keep safe
No longer on wood life makes it's way
Unnatural metalurgicals; hard to find medicinal use
Death's curve ever steeply unappreciative
How many souls will share the ride
Destination on the bus - the higher realms
We chip and hack against the spread
Slowing it's march to life by wash of hands
It is all about life itself
Microscopic versus macro bursts
Desperation rages harsh on Earth
Severity proving COVID-19 virus is a breach birth killing us

R7: Vocal Pits 'It is time' Words carried off into his ears as Jadira turned his attention to the calm winds beyond him blowing against his face, he wondered who had said that but shook his head afterwards and returned himself to reality. Glancing off onto his surroundings, Jadira stared off onto the horizon where thousands of rooftops and ceiling laid before him. Brown long thing planks were in between them, all sporting the same length. It was only the rooftops that be different in size and length. He had seen many of them smaller than others or even bigger. But Jadira was not here for sightseeing however as he snapped his trans gazed upon them before shaking his head again and started off walking forth towards the edge of the rooftop that he was in. Raising one foot up from the ground, placing it onto the edges, he shifted his eyes downward. His heart pounds against his chest while his eyes widen and he gasped in shocked. Throwing himself a few steps from the edge, he breathed
R7: Welcome TeamMember Isolated and alone away from anywhere else, Asrok stared onto Doryu for a moment while he smiled at him in response before raising his claw upward towards the hole before them. Asrok could not hear anything around him for it was quiet. He gulped rather nervously, shifting his eyes worriedly over to the hole then to Doryu before asking him. "What do you want from me?" "Nothing." Doryu responded in term, a grin emerged upon his face while he made contact with him before darting away and glanced. Asrok said nothing, but hears his voice again calling out onto him. "it is not about us. But you; what you had desired and longed for." Asrok kept silent again and raised his eyes over to him again as he continued speaking, "Your mother. You had believed that Zabika is not your real mother." Asrok kept staring at him. "Your real mother is…" But before he could say anything, an alarm went off and the entire room had changed from white to dark red. The sounds rang in
Fear's Feast
by Tricia Pattinson
The doors of my soul slammed shut
When fear came into my mind
When I allowed it residence
For fear consumes all reasoning
Devours all gentleness
Desserts upon my very merriment
Sorry I've been unable to share my poetry for more than a month. DA has not responded to my support request for uploading .txt files. Don't know when or if i'll be back. Clearly they don't want me here.
